Rules of Have A Gay Day on Facebook
Language
The Have A Gay Day Facebook page does not allow slurring of any kind. This includes hate speech or negativity towards another person of our community. Not everyone believes like you do, looks like you do, or might have the same grammar you do. Being a part of our page is voluntary but will be respectful for the full extent of your stay with us. We have strong moderation filters that automatically hide slurs and certain wording. If you are breaking the rules of the page by posting negative or offensive posts your comment may be deleted. If you have been warned about your language or it's clear that you're only on our page to stir the pot you will be banned and your comments will automatically hide on all posts at the moment you have been banned. You will not have the opportunity to comment again on our page. If you feel you have been removed in error you may send the page a message and discuss your ban being lifted.
Spam
If you have a Facebook page, business, blog, video, link, photo, etc. that is LGBT related post it on our wall. If you are commenting on our posts as a Facebook page with links to go and like your page or self promotion and spam such as if you don't share this with 10 people you will have bad luck your comment will be removed from the page and or your membership may come to an end. The only time this is not true is when Have A Gay Day specifically requests that the pages that follow it self promote under a status their page. With having over 1,500 pages following us and our inbox filling up we don't have the time to address every single request that asks us to share them. We have been taking too much time away from our inbox and our followers with having to explain that we do not share pages. We on occasion share pages but only for fun and only to get a page to a goal as an ex. they are at 4,960 followers and we like what they do and have been around so we promote them to get them to 5,000 followers. We also promote pages that have done interviews with us on the radio or are working with us. If you comment on the page, comment from your personal account please. We know the tricks and tactics of if you post randomly as a page it will help your page grow. Many times your page will be banned and then unbanned so you don't see us in your feed since it has taken on a game of sorts to comment first on our photos. This isn't a game to us, this is a community.
Photo Sourcing and Credit:
If you ever find a photo that you believe is yours please send us a message so we may give you proper credit. If you will notice we have thousands of photos and tracking down the original creators of photographers can be difficult. So please let us know if a photo is yours or it's original source. If you are the photographer or artist please know that we will never remove a copyright from a photo. It's your responsibility as an artist/photographer to add your personal watermark to an image. Have A Gay Day is not liable in any way because of an image that was not given credit and someone posted it and shared it online or on our wall. When giving a source credit we are not bound as a Facebook page to link to a business or web store that may make the originator profit. We will link to the original photo or post or simply give credit such as the artist name. We will be respectable of all those making requests but please understand that we will ask for links to the original source and more when altering credit or removing a photo for any reason. This is due to those that come to the page asking us to remove photos that they have no legal or copyright/trademark rights to. This page makes no profit and is not an organization. This changes our legal rights with usage of photography and content. We are bound by the Facebook TOS when it comes to copyrights but please understand the terms of service under Facebooks rights and responsibilities.
